Where We Work Across Suffolk County
We cover all of Suffolk County.
Pick your town below for local ground conditions and the eleven services we run there.
Central Suffolk
Medford: Home.
Holbrook: Post-war subdivisions where a lot of original driveways are now at the end of their service life. Resurfacing-versus-replacement is the usual question here.
Ronkonkoma: Commuter housing stock around the LIRR station, mostly short driveways with tight turning.
South shore
Sandy outwash soil. Drains well, compacts badly if you rush it, and the water table sits higher the closer you get to the bay.
Patchogue: Village jurisdiction, tighter lots, and more apron work at the curb than anywhere else we cover.
Sayville: High water table near the Great South Bay and historic frontage along Main Street, both of which shape what you can do at the front of a property.
Islip: Flood-zone drainage is a real design constraint on some streets here, not a formality. Worth checking before adding impervious surface.
North shore
Heavier clay-loam. Holds water rather than shedding it, so frost heave is the failure mode to design against, and the ground slopes.
Setauket: Mature trees and historic-district constraints. Root systems under an existing driveway change the excavation plan considerably.
Port Jefferson: Steep grades running down to the harbour. More retaining wall work per job than any other town on this list.
Miller Place: Bluff-adjacent north shore. Slope and drainage lead most conversations here.
Commack: Larger lots and longer driveways, straddling the Huntington and Smithtown town lines.
Huntington: Clay soil and sloping sites.
East end
Hampton Bays: Coastal salt exposure, sand subgrade, and a lot of seasonal properties. Scheduling around an owner who’s only out at weekends is normal here, and we plan for it rather than treating it as a complication.
